An Audiologist is a university-qualified hearing care professional. Within the ACAud clinical recognition framework, an ACAud-certified Audiologist has broader audiology certification that includes hearing rehabilitation and diagnostic rehabilitation.
· Adult audiological assessment, diagnostic interpretation and hearing rehabilitation.
· Paediatric audiology and habilitation.
· Tinnitus assessment and rehabilitation.
· Vestibular or balance assessment and rehabilitation.
· Auditory processing assessment and rehabilitation.
· Electrophysiological assessment methods.
· Hearing aid fitting, verification and rehabilitation, hearing assistive technology and implantable hearing device rehabilitation support.
· Assessment and management of people with complex hearing needs, including multidisciplinary referral and shared care.
